Journal
Wow... it's been a while since I was on and doing stuff...
I went to New York for New Years, bought a shipload of stuff came back and did nothing. Came back to school, did finals. I have three b's, one a, one c, one d, and one f (if I'm lucky, that f will be a d, the d will become a c and that c will become a b...)
We got our new schedule and I have only one off period and I still have band. I hate band. I hate playing the flute. I hate being in that class, and I really hate sitting next to the other flute players.
I cleaned my room and I found a whole lot of stuff that I thought I threw away. And a whole bunch of stuff that I thought I lost when in reality, my brother lit them on fire and hid them in one of my boxes when we packed to go to the new place. Thanks a lot, Sam.
I'm working on a story right now. So far I only have the first draft of each chapter done, I'm just going to type it and then I'm going to find a really good beta and edit it...
Oh, and speaking of betas... the people at SKoW (some kind of wonderful... it's like this big online award thingy for original fiction. It's mostly centered on romance) set up this online beta community. If you have a fiction press account, please click here
I also want to announce that my birthday is on January 24 That's a Thursday! (Most of the time, my birthday is on Monday or a Wednesday even though I was born on a Saturday...) I don't know what to do! Mum wants to take me to the movies, Dad wants to take me to the movies (w/o the other parent involved...). I want to have friends over and Sam thinks that we should all go swimming. Swimming? Outside? In the bloody winter? (Keep in mind people that I don't even know how to swim...)
So with all of that going on, expect my artwork to be updated... uh... I honestly don't know. I have been drawing (I have a new sketchbook...) and I'm getting pretty good... but I really can't give you an exact date because I don't even know if I'll be able to come back to the computer again.
Oh and guess what? I'm now an aunt to another baby boy! My oldest sister Sheryl, gave birth to a bouncing baby boy about two weeks ago. I would be more enthusiastic but I didn't even know my sister was pregnant. Mum's more than pissed. She paid for my sister to go to beauty school and instead of getting a stable job, she gets a kid. (In reality, Mum just doesn't want to be a grandma.) So now Mum's paying a lot more attention to what Sam and I do... it's creepy.
But Sheryl doesn't know what to name the boy (Sam and I suggested that he should be named after us, but they said no...) So do you guys have any ideas?
Oh and before I go, the group picture thing... I have to redo it. The paper I used to draw it kinda got destroyed... So uh... yeah.
How's life going on your side of the world?
FEATURES:
1.)
- Now tell me that isn't a sexy icon. XD
In The Sound Of Jazz is a piece I just cannot even begin to describe. I have so much love for it. For me when I see this, I think of the way I listen to music. The other sounds just gets so loud that want to block it out and when I slip on my headphones and just listen to my calming music, the world just passes me by. It's like that moment of time when everything is just calm and you feel so at piece...
Girl is basically that perfect poster picture. No really it is. If it weren't for the fact that I'm poor, I would have just forced Alex to make that into a print so I can put this in my room. Really... it's just beyond awesome. I love the colours in this one. I love this piece... I bet you would too.
Hands was the piece that got me to watch this artist in the first place. For me, the first three things I will always notice about a person is the eyes, hair, and hands. And hands was the very first piece that I saw from this artist (from somebody else's favs). I don't know exactly why I love this piece but I do and I just have to share that love with you. And hopefully, you'll pass that love on as well...
2.)
- My inspiration...
I Yes, yes, I know... it's his dA id but that is like the best id that I've seen in a long time. It made me smile. (You gotta wonder if people just walk up to him just to touch his hair...)
Heart-of-Gold just puts a smile on my face every time I see it. The lighting, the colouring, the time that might have been spent doing this is enough to take anyone's breath away. Plus, odavis chose a wonderful model for this. The smile on the woman's face, the warmth that she sends is just too great. I just love this piece!
Daytime-Girl wins. Seriously. I was looking through his gallery for another one of his drawings to feature and this one was like
look at me! Look at me!!! (no, the computer wasn't talking to me... the picture just gave off that vibe)... so I did and I was like "woah..." My eyes went to the cars on the right first. I don't know why but it did... then to the shadow of a man then to the girl, then to the house on the left. And I just remembered this area at my elementary that looked just like that. I mean, it was such a peaceful picture that I just had to fav it. It's the lighting and wonderful colouring that just made me love this piece...
3.)
-
Cage-Mask-Motivegot me. I'm such a sucker for masks. Dunno why, but I am. And this one was just screaming awesomeness from even it's thumbnail. The background is very simple looking which makes us focus on the person. But the masks pretty much stole the show because my attention was just focused on that.
Our-Love I didn't notice this one until like, later. When I doing revisions and checking the links and whatnot. And the fact that I like this speaks wonders because a friggin' hate birds. To death. They aren't cute, they're annoying. But this picture just blind sighted me. Paper mosaics are just lovely to me. And so I guess this picture got me to love birds. Until later, when a bird came by the window and started cawing it's lungs off. It's not spring yet! Go away!
Hope Possibility and Despair seems like the perfect movie/book poster. No lie. Especially with the author's comments.
"We all have a choice." Come on, that just screams future book/movie thing. Go see for yourself!
I would of had more features but I'm so tired. Sorry!
